Last week Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg finished a close second in the New Hampshire primary, as the openly gay former mayor continued to exceed expectations.

However, also last week, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh questioned how Buttigieg kissing his husband could be explained to children. And on a leading Christian website a preacher wrote that the candidate’s homosexuality makes him “deserving of death.” From the other end of the spectrum, protesters with a group called Queers Against Pete interrupted Buttigieg at a private fundraiser in San Francisco.

After a campaign chockablock with weeks like this, President Pete is gonna find dealing with North Korea a snap.
