Rick’s Rant

As states grapple with skyrocketing coronavirus numbers, officials are taking steps. Dr. Rachel Levine, Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Health, expanded the state’s mask requirements.

Which gave conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles a chance to go on a transphobic rant for the ages.

To be fair, Wiles is notoriously homophobic and anti-semitic, so how could he be expected to pass up a chance to savage an openly transgender Jew? Come now.

On his internet “TruNews” show, Wiles whined, “That’s a man in a dress. You’re mentally ill, Dr. Levine. You’re mentally ill, and no normal person should listen to you. You need mental health counseling. You need deliverance.”

Wiles, sporting a cross on his lapel in case you didn’t already know he speaks for Jesus, continued, “To the people of Pennsylvania, you are absolutely insane if you let that transvestite freak rule your life. He just told you (what) he’s going to do to you starting this week, November 20th. You’re going to obey that transvestite freak? Seriously?”

Then getting so riled he talked over his co-host, Wiles demanded, “Chase that freak out of the state. Chase it out of the state. Rise up in Pennsylvania, and chase that freak out of the state! You don’t have to tolerate this stuff.”

This is the kind of rabid bigotry that got Wiles suspended from YouTube — and earned him press credentials from the Trump administration.

I assume Wiles doesn’t know he managed to utter these words during Transgender Awareness Week, but I’m sure that fact would please him no end.

It’s tempting to wish something evil on such a vile human being. And I do wish that Wiles contracts COVID-19. I don’t want him to die, you understand. Just land in the hospital for a solid, scary month and be tended to by a transgender nurse named Menachem and a transgender doctor named Esther.
