A gay male African penguin duo at a European zoo swiped an egg from a straight couple last year, but the egg didn’t result in a chick.
Now the would-be dads have raised their game, stealing a complete nest.
From a lesbian couple! So much for community solidarity.
The guys take turns sitting on the eggs and foraging for food. Having been laid by the bereft lesbians, though, the eggs likely weren’t fertilized and won’t result in bundles of fluffy joy.
So there in the Dutch city of Amersfoort, the boys will return to their thieving ways. It’s just a matter of time before they wind up at The Hague.
In a documentary that premiered yesterday, Pope Francis endorsed civil unions for same-sex couples, making him the first pontiff ever to do so.
His rigid predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, would be turning in his grave, if he weren’t still alive.
